What is your problem?

You are building a news reading app. And you want the articles a reader has already read to never show up again.

You want to sort an array of 500,000 elements.

You want to find an element in an array of 1 million elements.

And so on and so forth.

This is the kind of problem you have to solve before you can continue building your app

Imagine you have just finished some component of your app. You keep going and build something else, then hit Run. And suddenly everything throws errors, bugs show up everywhere, you delete the code you just added but the errors are still there, and it feels like you’re missing something?

Imagine further that your Team is working on some project, but each member is in a different place and you have no way to meet. How do you work together on one project?

All those questions, and many more, are answered by a Visual Studio feature called “Team Foundation Server”

Why did I cover those 2 parts before the App’s Structure? Because the controls are the most basic thing — even if a project’s Structure changes later on, you will figure it out quickly. When you create a new Windows Phone project, Visual Studio already opens the Mainpage.xaml file for you to edit.

Now, going back upstream, you will learn about the structure of an app in Windows Phone
